While I understand what you’re getting at, I didn’t admit it was crazy, I acknowledged it might sound crazy, similar but there’s a distinct difference.

I really never got the point of automatic wipers. Is it really that hard to move your hand 3 inches away from the wheel and flick your wrist when you see water

I’m not going to argue that a manual transmission makes sense in the G70. Honestly, they never should have bothered. They were dooming it to failure by making it and the V6 mutually exclusive options. It wouldn’t have sold enough with the V6 to keep it as an option either, but at least it wouldn’t have seemed like

Right? I’m STILL enjoying my 2008 A4 Avant with a pretty solid 6MT drivetrain on the daily (or well almost daily given COVID). I have GPS with traffic (sometimes, RDS-based TMS is sort of unreliable), leather, and all that jazz. The manual neither adds nor subtracts from the pacakge, objectively. Subjectively, it

i don’t really understand the confusion of driving a vehicle like this. the transmission is simply an option. granted a very complicated and expensive option to offer multiple versions of, but still just an option.

A wonderful piece for an extraordinary man. Good Luck with the Alfa David, it’s transcended into a momento. RIP

Ok, but I really want to try to save face and argue my point, so I’m going to do that at least 3 more times here, and with anyone else who makes the comparison.”- WRXforScience, probably.

That is one butt ugly truck. Lol

Lots. Door handles, air vents, centre console, all these shapes and sizing/structure are the same. They’ve changed what goes on top, but they’re refeshed, not all new as suggested.

Does this Washington state car perhaps place it’s controls in the forward position...? ;-)

Nobody is talking about it because this is standard operating procedure in California. Burn, rain, slide, repeat. Nothing to do at all with anything happening in DC. TDS is a terrible thing.

I mean, you were drinking coffee in someone else’s $200K car with leather? In the twisties? I will never understand folk’s need to have a beverage to hand in all situations.

It’s the constant wild extrapolation from a single data point that’s the issue. The world is far more complex than NYC car sales last month or Honda’s drop in profits (still making profits, but panic anyway!) or COVID infections in a particular auto plant in Mexico.

I took it as a poorly worded way of saying more city people might want cars now instead of using transit, so a few extra sales there. However, it ignores all the people who don’t need to drive anymore and millions without a paycheck.

I like wraps even less than owning a black car.

Why would anyone do that? (Source: Former owner of Ranger with 2.3 and 5 speed). I would go with a Toyota 20R and 5 speed at least to keep in in the same family.

“Enthusiasts like manual transmissions, let’s offer one. But let’s only offer it on the stripper model, not the one with the hot engine that enthusiasts would like.”

I think it looks fantastic, but now I have no reason to buy it when I could buy so many other cars that have an automatic. I was one of the few people who tried to buy a previous generation with a manual, and I had only one condition, I didn’t want another black car. The only two manuals in the system were both black,

The most likely explanation is drivers taking advantage of more open roads because of the pandemic, said Officer Ian Hoey, a spokesman for the California agency.

They really do need a “I swear I know what I’m doing” button.
