Spoken like someone who has never played competitive sports. They won that game twice before having it stolen. That was one of the most egregious results in Olympic history. I am on board with that team not accepting a silver medal. They won the gold.

This game broke my heart. I still contend that a shootout is a ridiculous way to decide a hockey game. Perhaps this view was shaped by the result.

NHL non-participation has hurt the US more than any other country, perhaps with the exception of Sweden. Canada is just so deep with hockey talent and Russia seems to have a talented group. With the NHLers participation, the USA is regularly playing for gold.
