i was homeschooled during high school. I was constantly bullied, I had death threats, and I was beyond bored in class because the stuff we were learning I had already read and learned.

Actually the majority of home schooled kids test higher and progress faster than kids in regular school.

I was homeschooled. I followed a normal curriculum that had no religious influence at all. I was supervised by a credentialed teacher who I could email or call if necessary. I graduated two years early from high school. Nothing wrong with homeschooling if it's done right.
