It’s not a war. It’s working with people we sometimes disagree with to accomplish common goals for the benefit of society. If politicians could learn to do that, the country would be much better off.

Yeah, how dare he try to make a difference instead of whining and crying with the snowflakes?
That’s not exactly a fair or rational perspective. You can’t reasonably say Musk is guilty of treating his emplyees badly because yadda yadda yadda Silicon Valley is bad. If there are proven allegations then that’s definitely a problem. As far as I know these unproven allegations from one person who might be working…
I do tend to agree that the world doesn’t need billionaires. But from what we see of Musk, he does seem to be an anomaly in that his motives are 100% altruistic. Although Warren Buffet and Bill Gates both give away the majority of their fortunes to charity so maybe they qualify as good billionaires too.
Add that to the fact the article ends with “this source is completely unverified”
I mean, I’m willing to believe that he has the resources and the willingness to provide adequately for his employees, but given what we know of Silicon Valley’s shitty labor practices in general I don’t see why I should trust that he just isn’t that into the UAW, you know?
Considering Musk can’t magically make Trump not the President why shouldn’t he do his best to push Trump towards good business and environmental policy? I prefer the admin to have at least some sane and rational advice.
He’s speaking with Trump about the importance of climate change.
I get that. But you know what the difference is between this guy and EA Spouse (I doubt you even know what that is, not that you’d admit that)?
I will click on anything Elon Musk/Tesla/Space X related. Most people will. Media knows that and that’s my point about what the problem is here. They are exploiting us more than they are exploiting Elon Musk and in the process, they are damaging his reputation to further their own revenue.
UPDATE: I posted a comment on Jose Moran’s article, asking him to prove his existence. You know what he did? He turned off comments for his post.
I’m unclear how those two things can’t co-exist. Trump is not the government, but Trump is pushing particular policies.
Hey guys, I heard that Tesla has spies in Apple’s autonomous car division that are actively sabotaging their efforts in order to ensure they are first to market. Trust me. I’m one of the spies.
My name is Jeffrey Moron... Shit I mean Moran. I don’t have social media, so don’t look me up. I live off the grid, like most…
“...relates to his administration with the Trump association.”
I used to work in recruiting for aerospace and medical device engineering positions. Your statement is very accurate. I don’t think I ever saw a resume with more than 2-3 years at SpaceX or Tesla. Anyone who made it past that was already on their way to leadership/management position.
Tesla workers, according to Moran, make between $17 and $21 hourly, a far cry from the $25.58 he cites as average in the auto industry. The Bureau of Labor Statistics lists the average hourly pay for motor vehicle manufacturing in December 2016 as $29.53.
Stock benefits are no joke in this case. The company is still so young.
Hm. Look at what the unions did to Detroit, and the american auto industry.
Genuinely curious as to why so many commenters are immediately prepared to take the word of an “alleged employee” who appears to have an axe to grind. Are they like idiot poodles who will chase after a tennis ball with a bit of ass-smell rubbed on it, hoping they will find an actual dog when they chase it down?…
The real question is if this accusation would be given any attention if Gizmodo didn’t have a mini beef with Elon as it relates to his association with the Trump association.
