Orioles fan here to say the feeling’s mutual.
Orioles fan here to say the feeling’s mutual.
Orioles fan here; so tired of seeing Machado still getting reamed all the time for the kerfluffles in Oakland (no, I’m not excusing his behavior, just saying that I’m tired of it negating everything else positive he’s ever done in the game and Josh Donaldson has since been proven to be a prick so I blame him for the…
True story: there’s a meme at the SB Nation Mets site Amazin’ Avenue that whenever Freeman does something good against the Mets during a game, the game thread post for that night fills up with frustrated comments of “FFF” (fuck Freddie Freeman). There was much chuckling upon seeing Wright’s saying this to him, playful…
As I like to say, I was on Team Meteor last night.
Wasn’t anyone on Team Meteor with me last night? :-/
My Italian teacher had us learn how to make spaghetti alla carbonara once instead of a traditional class. It was the first time I’d ever cooked and I’ve never stopped since. I already adored her before that but I have her to thank for a lifelong interest in cooking and world cuisines.
“Mother’s Day MASSACRE”
Egg rolls. It’s actually really good on those things.
Huston Street used to have a hashtag called SpyOnCarlos (Quentin) when he was with the Padres. This is definitely upping the ante. I love it.
Minor quibble: onion and citrus juice came with the conquistadores.
That actually sounds interesting. Recipe please?
OMG this. Kids are way more sensitive to tastes, textures and smells than adults realize, and their stomachs are smaller. If there’s a real problem with nutrition it will show itself; forcing a child to eat when they’re not hungry or not OK with a particular food is so counterproductive.
I have a weird set of least favorite foods, which are: cucumbers, salmon, green beans, sweet potatoes and cauliflower. Cucumbers/salmon—too sour. Green beans—odd tea-like taste to them and they squeak when I chew them. Sweet potatoes are too sweet for a vegetable to me and cauliflower tastes like dirt to me raw or…
They changed it to all "8"s to compete with William Mattar.
I can see where you'd get that idea; when I was a kid I also thought that's what "no-hitter" meant.
If you're not your child's friend, then you're their enemy.
I was an incredibly picky eater until I turned 16. I think tastebuds undergo changes about once every decade and a half or so. Everything I found disgusting (mostly raw veggies and certain meats, like steak) suddenly tasted absolutely awesome. Also, textures factor into it a lot, I think. Part of my disdain for…
I love how my hometown baseball team is involved in such interesting and offbeat baseball events.
Why not shredded turkey? BTW, turkey is a pre-Columbian Mexican ingredient, so I'm sure there's got to be some good recipes out there for it.
Traditional vegetarian taco fillings do exist; I've seen some interesting ones like avocado, peas, nopales, cuitlacoche...(not all at the same time, of course) I like the walnut meat idea, though.
