Concerning #1 at least: I don’t know, I’ve been doing this so long, I have a ‘go’ foot and a ‘stop’ foot. There is absolutely no mixing them up. (should specify, when I’m driving my lady’s automatic). I still do it on my manual, but your argument holds up a bit better there.
