The McLaren F1 carried a BMW V12. This one had an inline six.

“Oh look, we dominated another national stage rally to the surprise of no one.”
As much as I love the guys in Vermont, I really hope they get some reasonable competition soon. The only reason I go to NEFR is because I know most of the grass root teams.
Agree. I’d say Danny Ric’s pass for the lead takes the crown, though. Going in hot exactly the way that Max failed to.
I have to insist that a pass that was not legal and was thus penalized objectively cannot be the best pass. Impressive driving from a physical skills level but clearly not a good racing pass or it would have stuck.
The S2000 is “not” light-years better. The MR2 is definitely the better handling tossable car. It is more of an handling enthusiast car compared to the “all-arounder” stat-boy S2000. And if you want to say more “power” go drive the Mustang.
They also go for $10K more
Yyeepppp... He would be on about “parabollocks” and completely fail to explain even the simplest part of the concept.
Yeeey! It’s not a video from the Engineering Explain twat waffle!!!!
But it still retains all of the negatives of cloth seats, i.e. impossible to clean. And actually, I think, MORE difficult to clean.
If an owner can’t sit mostly naked in the cockpit of their new luxury sedan at two in the morning, quietly moaning while rubbing their dashboard, which is totally normal, can Lexus ownership even be considered a premium experience?
I have never understood Jalopnik’s fascination with this guy. There is nothing here to shake me from my belief that 99.999% of all Youtube “stars” are complete and total douches.
Lexus is not a 6 figure car? It competes, and beats most of its class.
Did anybody make it all the way through that video? They guy never takes a breath and his voice made me want to stick an ice pick into my ears.
I really like Jason’s content, but I decided after this video I’m no longer willing to subscribe.
Although this all being said, a modern day luxury car is still more reliable then some 70s/80s standard car that your junked at 100k miles.
Why doesn’t Jalopnik have an article about the race itself? It was the most exciting race in a while, and there’s just a story about Gasly and two about the Kimi incident. Real deal edge of your seat stuff for those last 7 laps. Battles throughout, accident between Ham/Ver, Hamilton passing 3 cars in one turn. Such…
Seriously? I hate BMW’s and Mustang equally but they’re two completely different cars. The BMW is built to handle for a road course, which is the Mustang’s biggest weakness.
Awesome! It’s great to see the actual M4 engine in the M2.
I dunno, small(ish) car with oodles of power and RWD? Sounds pretty good to me, though I expect the price to be astronomical sadly. If they could sell a metric crapton of this, I might just be able to pick one up in say, oh, 15 years or so on the cheap.
That’s a rally class build around what a stock car will survive not the other way around. About 10 people made the same logical error you just made yesterday.
