The Mazda Furai, for being so stunningly beautiful and brilliant and yet never resulting in anything real before disappearing into the oblivion of history by turning into ashes. My heart still bleeds for it...

By far, the most important thing you need when you fly is noise-cancelling headphones. No more engine low-frequency rumble, no more crying babies, no more people telling you about their religious convictions because they engaged you in conversation and found out you do scientific research.

But that was the whole embedded joke in the movie. Doc was so clueless about real life he thought DeLoreans were stylish sports cars (they were indeed stylish thanks to Giugiaro, though the stainless steel was a rather odd gimmick for the time, very different from today <cough> cybetrruck <\cough>).

It was really unfortunate one of the greatest races driven by any F1 driver ever (and I’m not a GR superfan, but I still don’t understand how he held Hamilton behind him with 34-lap tires) resulted in disqualification. I agree there is no way around the rules in this case, and the disqualification is completely fair.

He will say whatever is needed to make Childress and Penske give his SuperPACs a fat multimillion dollar contribution. At this point, he is in full prostitution mode. He might even do this to them behind closed doors...

No cupholders... Hard pass! ;-)

We all love stupid criminals, but sometimes they are stupid and murderous, and you really don’t want to find out which when they are robbing you...

I rarely find that comfortable. For the friends I trust at mastering the car they are driving, they tend to overdrive it, going a little too fast and having to break a little too hard, so it’s kind of a jarring drive.

For its time, the Citroën DS, no contest. For all time, either the latest Rolls-Royce Phantom or the Mercedes 600 Grosser (which licensed parts of the Citroën technology).

Yeah, I think Peter Windsor’s argument is that Max is extremely good at judging when to do the very last move at a point where the stewards have trouble judging if it was really under braking or not.

Yeah, as you point out, we had not seen this side of Max for a while, but that is easily explained by his complete dominance since his similar clashes with Hamilton in 2021.

Having been in a 30 min+ line at a McDs drive-through around midnight, all I can say is that if Natural Intelligence is barely able to cope with whatever those people in front of me that took 15 minutes to order were ordering, Artificial Intelligence will rather launch all the nukes before having to deal with that.

A heated confrontation in the US that did not end with people riddled with bullets is a win in my book.

Arguably some drivers are perhaps not getting injured enough...

Unclear if the video below is staged, but even if it was, it can easily happen in reality with total impunity, making this incident of an airport gift shop worker casually stealing a bag from the luggage carousel rather quaint.

Can’t find much wrong with the MkIII one, either

The Ferrari F355 engine orientation, which mandates that a cam belt replacement (dictated by Ferrari to be every 30,000 miles or every 5 years, or they won’t certify the car) requires the engine off and about $10,000 in labour and parts!

They are in an abusive relationship, very similar to the former trump associates who are now testifying against him starting to cry on the stand when they have to say less than wonderful things about their terrible once-employer in front of him.

The front design looks like what a brutalist dreaming of a bulldog would conceive, and the interior is rapidly becoming as tasteless as the one of the Maybach 62. Needs more granite, though. It’s all very German in a bad way.
