Plex does indeed support more formats, and can be used remotely over IP. It transcodes on the server, so all around a better solution.

You CAN watch Hulu, but you'll need to root AFAIK. Not a great solution but it is possible.

No. I use mine without a cable box. Controlling a cable box is just one of the features.

How does it interface with your camera? I had to build the irmitter because my phone doesn't have an IR port and there is no other way to trigger my camera remotely.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm just saying don't expect a 3360x2100 desktop and try to relate it to every other monitor resolution you've purchased. On a 3360x2100 display at 1:1 pixels with current tech you'd have to get out a magnifying glass to look at a webpage. That seems to be what everyone is expecting,

Being animated and passionate, does not make someone arrogant, that's true. But going on show after show telling people they're wrong. And when someone asks a question he makes sure to first point out how wrong they are before giving them the correct answer.

This. It's better to continue to think of the new retina MBP as having a 1440x900 display with doubled pixels.

Guys: the thing to realize is that you're not getting 2880 x 1800 of screen real-estate. These are pixel-doubled displays. So your display will show things the same size as the old 1440x900 displays, just at higher detail.

You can also build a remote/intervalometer that plugs into your phone for about $2 in parts and 10 minutes of your time. Google irmitter. I built one and it works great.

HBO gets paid per subscriber.

Wow. So if I don't like Tyson's arrogance, I must celebrate ignorance, huh? I might say that jumping to wild conclusions when you don't know jack shit is "part of the problem." I don't dislike Tyson because he's smart. I dislike Tyson because he's an asshole to nearly everyone I see him talk to - even if he *is*

This is pretty far fetched. I'm going to say there's no way this is true. Apple has had a solid history of packing in exactly the amount of technology they can in order to keep the prices on their models the same.

Another day, another comment from Neil DeGrasse Tyson telling us how everyone is dumber than him.

I do do without it. I've never seen the show even once and I don't have HBO. I'm not talking about the morality of downloading their content, I'm talking about their business strategy.

Well then torrenting their content doesn't effect their business model because cable companies still offer HBO.

Yea I agree. I'm not talking about downloading being right or wrong. I'm talking about HBO not having a business model that adequately serves their customers. I'm talking about what THEY can do, not what the people should do. If they go out of business tomorrow because the only way people could watch their content was

Do we know that? Everything I can find says he was on bath salts (other than the initial reports that said he was on a new form of LSD).

That's not really a fair way to look at it. HBO is in the business of selling content, and they currently fail at selling their content in a way that over half their viewers want to consume it.

Well it kinda is HBO's fault. They have failed to keep up with the demands of their consumer base, so their consumers are skirting around how the show is supposed to be consumed. If HBO brought itself into the 21st century and offered their content in a way in which people wanted to consume it, there would be no

Yes, lack of competition will make Android so much more awesome!
