The books look like more than books. They appear to have interactive elements such as quizes and, I would imagine, videos.

Yea, it's preaching to the choir - but the point isn't to make reddit users aware. The point is to get users off of reddit and spend some time making others aware. The choir is the best force for getting the word out, and a blackout is a good way to give them some time to do it.

Ergonomics aren't the only consideration. Standing desks can be more healthy in other ways, even if they are not fully ergonomic. LH has posted several articles about how standing is much more healthy than sitting due to the usage of the fat pumps in your legs.
