Hooray, now we can have the worst part of iOS on Android, too!

I blame the patent office for allowing for broad software patents. then I blame Microsoft for taking advantage of said bullshit patents only when they found they couldn't succeed on their own merits. The patent system has failed to protect innovation and has succeeded in protecting those who can't innovate.

That's all fine and good except that software patents are bullshit. Microsoft has patents on like syncing data and pushing buttons on a screen.

You might be required to show your receipt under the terms of service of the app, similar to how you are required to show your receipt at Costco under their membership agreement.

.

Yea it's so stupid to use technology for stuff. How dare they use iPhones for something other than iPhones, especially with those big bricky things attached to them! UGH! It ruins my day every time!

This is great since I usually have to wander around for several minutes trying to find a free employee. I assume they'll station someone by the door to check purchases? What's their loss prevention plan?

The normal flu vaccine works by "actually stimulating our own response which is already there – boost it – to fight an infection."

Uhh.. you would rather use their natural immune system? How do you think vaccines function?

Google charges for API usage all the time. This isn't really that big of a deal. Their model doesn't change at all (so it's not an admission that their model is flawed) - but developers will have to come up with models that accomodate the charges.

Friction is helpful when you want to stop, though.

Probably less of an exclusivity deal and probably more of a getting one hardware profile out the door while you finish up the others. It's not just a matter of releasing the phone unlocked, they need different radios/antenna/software too.

Just don't try to measure the speed of neutrinos with it and you should be okay.

I bet he was wearing his iPhone on a holster at the time.

Umm.. that's not the same as a $100 iPad. That's a $500 + $100 iPad.

illegals need phones, too.

Google maps has the widget feature. Look for the traffic widget. It shows you a green, yellow, or red light and estimated drive time to any location you set.

On my Android tablet I run a browser that lets me identify as desktop. I imagine a lot of Android users do the same. On my iPad, I could never find a browser that did that correctly.

If Dustin had an opposable thumb he wouldn't have found this very difficult.
