It takes all kinds, man.

Can you prove that coming to a complete stop reduces the frequency of accidents?

The other 70% should be ticketed.

The whole selling point of autonomous cars is that one day, hypothetically, they’ll be safer than humans because they won’t get tired or lazy or lax with the rules.  “No u-turn” signs might seem arbitrary sometimes, but there’s usually a reason they’re there.  Teslas ignoring those signs and then having to back into

Counterpoint - due to a mechanic buddy being between shops, I had mounting and balancing machines in my garage for a couple of years. It is nasty, dirty, hard work to mount and balance tires and I will cheerfully pay $100 on the relatively rare occasions that one of my cars needs tires to NOT have to do it myself. And

It should. Automated vehicles should be following the rules of the road, not the bad habits drivers form throughout their lives as shit drivers.

Yes? 100% it does.

First Gear: For the love of god, Tesla (and Waymo and the rest), stop forcing the public to participate in your half-baked experiments against their will.

A 1978 Honda Civic? Worked for Hightower, with mods

Can we just clarify number 14, about turn signals, please? It’s not good enough to put your turn signal on just as you’re making your turn or changing lanes. We can all see what you’re in the middle of now, the signal is just window dressing at this point. People please, the turn signal is to indicate your INTENT to

How about adding “Just be civil to one another.” If someone is trying to merge, don’t speed up to cut them off. Conversely, the person merging owes a wave of thanks to the person who let them in.

This is the worst timeline. The ‘worst deals’ are all the small cars normal people can afford. Manufacturers probably won’t make enough of them to meet demand because the low margins would hurt the ever-present need for higher profits Wall Street has.

Congresswoman Boobert should have taken her case to Judge Cannon’s court. Cannon would have ruled the ticket was unconstitutional on account of Boobert being a Republican and, thus, above the law.

They are, though... that’s why it’s even sadder.

Big pickups are the vehicle of choice everywhere that isn’t a city center for the vast majority of Americans. Even if they don’t have one, most WANT one.
