What industry was booming while you were in college that is now useless? People love to see themselves as victims of the economy versus their own life choices. I’m lucky, but I’m also fucking smart.
Not everyone has to go into STEM, but you can’t just study whatever you want and expect a job to fall into your lap. I’m saying a lot of people don’t think about the job market when going to college. I think it should be just as big of a factor in your major as your skills.
Do they have law degrees? Are they working as a doctor? Seems strange. There are endless opportunities for MDs and Esqs. Gotta look in the right place.

Eh I don’t necessarily agree with the military as “a job that gives you PTSD” There are a lot of miltiary folks who come out just fine. I do think that some people shouldn’t be in the military. Senstive types (like me!!!) really won’t do well. But recruiters arn’t really in any position to turn people down.
