Yep, I remember her being heavily demonized during her breakdown and I think there’s a certain subset of millennials who bought into that and are now old enough to know that we were watching someone in the midst of a mental health crisis who needed help, not scorn, and that’s creating some feelings. We were all told

For my circle of friends (we are going into our 40's) we’re mostly angry at the way we’ve been manipulated to A) wanting to look like her, B) then becoming jealous of her, C) then laughing at her downfall, only to them D) repeat with someone else. I’ve known a small circle of my friends going back to elementary school

Because he’s the perpetrator and deserves to have his name and face associated with his crimes? She would probably rather be known as an actress than a Manson abuse survivor.

As a trans woman you can absolutely hate her despite her trans status. She does not represent us at-the-fuck-all.

You can’t hate her “because she’s trans”

I am a total sucker for a great cassoulet, especially if they decide to add some duck confit on top. It’s rarely seen and it takes a fair amount of effort, so if a place has it there’s a pretty high chance it’s a labor of love.

Affleck has done a lot of good movies. Wahlberg just 2, but Affleck has a ton under his belt. The Way Back, Gone Girl, To the Wonder, Argo, Mallrats, Dazed and Confused to name a few. Hes not an awful actor hes just kinda of himbo.

Past potluck experience has taught me there are a surprising amount of ways to fuck up Mac & Cheese...

I don’t know if it is from growing up on the West Coast or the fact that we never really went out to eat much when I was growing up, but I had never even heard of hushpuppies until I moved to DC after college and went out to eat at a crab place in Maryland. Manna from heaven...

Yes, this. I think we make too much of the protection a vaccination gives the receiver and too little of the benefit to the community -- but then again this is just like the mask thing, so I’m not surprised.

I’m split - none of us actually know what’s going on with Britney because one of the issues at hand has always been the level of control placed on her by her own family from a young age. There are genuine questions about her agency/autonomy in statements for or against the doc or basically anything else.

The strangest (but not the worst) part to me about how Turkey treats the genocide is that they chalk any discussion of the genocide—which Turkey absolutely committed against Armenians—up to shit like “radical Armenian circles and anti-Turkey groups.” I can’t say I’ve ever heard of a radical anti-Turkey Armenian. On

Warheads candy are too sour. They are sour past the point of tasting the candy within --which is actually a boon because they’re also lousy candy under all that miserable sourness. Sour Patch Kids aren’t sour enough, Warheads are too sour, there’s so many wonderful sour candies between.

I cannot believe that another generation is going to put themselves through the horror of low rise pants.

good Lord, I’ve never seen this pic of Gillian Anderson and it’s making me feel things. I can even overlook the terrible, horrible oval sunglasses.

A lot of cis-men are astoundingly horrified by period blood and do not seem to realize you can, in fact, just wash your hands (or penis, as the case may be).

If that is an issue with a woman, wouldn’t latex gloves suffice? I don’t know if that would impair the ability to grab whatever is necessary to get the tampon out, but come the fuck on.

Is Kylie’s pose really so painful looking?  She’s just tipping her head back?

The funny part is how this post is using Kylie’s T&A post for the exact same reason Kylie is - attention - and somehow thinks they’re on some sort of moral high ground? Nothing interesting was actually said about it or her, other than some concern trolling answered by “She probably does yoga.” And yet this thirst trap

“Spanking does for a child’s development what hitting a spouse does for marriage.”
