Kind of sounds like the second letter writer wants to help her friend's fiancé explore his kinks.

I had the exact same experience playing through that quest. It might have been my belief that nothing could possibly go wrong that made the end result so crushing. And it changed the way I played the rest of the game because I was convinced that more tragedies were waiting for me.

Yes, exactly! But, whatever, I must move on.

A part of my brain knows this. That part also knows that it is just a show that isn't necessarily interested in preserving the things in the book that I care about. But the other part (the one that really, really likes all things related to Dorne for whatever reason) got so unreasonably angry last season. So, yeah,

My only goal this season is to not care as much. I will not get mad about Dorne, dammit!

This really hurts.

Yeah, some of them are pretty meaningless (salad) and then others are life and death. So I just do them all to make sure everything works out. I always get pretty caught up in accomplishing small tasks like these in video games. Makes me feel like I'm getting stuff done, even if it is just a game.

Getting pretty close to finishing Lightning Returns. Doing lots of side quests right now because even though the world is about to end people need their lives to be just a little bit better before everything ceases to exists. I had to go pretty far just to get a Sylkis Green so someone could make a salad. I mean, a

Reading Infinite Jest this week and for many, many more weeks.

MST3K is the feel better thing to watch in my house. Glad you managed to reclaim it for yourself.

As someone in academia and currently living in Wisconsin I can't get into all of my rage about tenure right now. Too early in the morning for that. But yeah, everything you said is right.

I really enjoyed reading this review. I already wanted to play this game before, but now I'm even more eager to start playing. This is just a beautifully written review. I mean, this sentence alone is enough to make me want to toss aside all of my responsibilities today and start playing right now: "There is an

That's comforting, thanks.

My other half finally convinced me to take a break from my Agatha Christie reading marathon to read Infinite Jest. So far I'm finding it incredibly depressing (not necessarily in a bad way, just, that's what it is right now). I'm only about 80 pages in, so I'll be reading it for quite a while.

Thank you for the welcoming! I knew that waiting this long to muster the courage to start commenting would pay off!

Allows us to watch the slow and gruesome deaths of all those dwarves.

And one of the reasons that movie is so unbearable is because (from what I recall) there is a lot less Bilbo and a lot more everyone else.

I was about to make this same comment. Her Marple is THE Marple as far as I'm concerned. Geraldine McEwan is passable, but Julia McKenzie is just, I don't know, doing it wrong?

Speaking of Final Fantasy…I'll be playing Lightning Returns when I have the time this weekend. I find it weirdly addictive, so I can only play on the weekends when I know I won't regret spending hours playing it. It's probably because I really enjoy tedious things like changing outfits in video games (being serious).
