To be fair,  FFXIV NEVER had you not being a lynchpin that held society together.  That’s where it’s different from WoW.  You were the warrior of light from the get go.  When vanilla WoW started you were just some dude from your starting village.

It’s kinda hard to fault matchmaking not putting you against people of your own skill level seeing as how the game is just 24 hours old.  Skill based matchmaking hasn’t really had any time to sort people yet.  

I’ve found my best runs are with treating the bow like a shotgun,  getting real close and using the special since it hits multiple times.   If you go with the Poseidon boon for knockback and wall damage,  and roil on knockbacks,  you can put out insane damage in a short time.   For the hydra boss,  I was able to move…

I’m in the same boat.  In the last month or so I’ve finished Tomb Raider,  Rise of the Tomb Raider,  Lego Marvel Superheroes (I needed something mindless),  and went and finished the last couple levels in D00m 2016 and then tore thru Doom Eternal.   God of War is next up!
