to me this season is probably the best season of the show.
to me this season is probably the best season of the show.
well I fucking loved it. It's very consistently on point politically, it's pretty well written; It's whimsical; It's full of hope (well until a certain point), and we need more of that. Would even have enjoyed a happy end for once though to distract from the depressing reality. ANd there's not even this much Piper in…
well, I'm less likely to pay attention If the whole thing doesn't make any sense.
I wasn't implying that Lynch was a blatant mysoginistic. But there is ambiguity, even if the subject is depicting the evil in suburbia.
I kinda like the sadistic way they made him survive through the whole first episode to kill him just like that.
or you know; just kill the cast and be done with it. or maybe we could follow a group of zombies in a big city, getting to know them, that I would watch.
who the hell are these people?
with the shitty way it's shot there's no way of knowing if it was inflicted during the flight or during the fight with zombies before. it seemed like a very big wound from just being shot. (serioulsy I hate it when you have "fast pace" action sequence of 4 seconds with 100 shots and you have no freaking clue what's…
agree. you can discuss and critisize how women are treated in someone's work and how it might reflect their relation to them and still totaly enjoy the work. Some directors I admire are blatant misogynistic (and that shows in their work). Still, doesn't deprive their work of their value. On the contrary I resent the…
it was always intended as a bit corny and soapy, with something sinister on top. Anyway because I know the show the opening credits with the music always give me goosebumps.
A good example of how Lynch subverts the sitcom trope would be "rabbits":

minutes after watching the show, I'm reading the review and wonder "wait, who's Nick?". That's how good the show is.
the walking dead holds up pretty well compared to this.
watched twin peaks then this. talk about a steep step. Of the two fear the walking dead is the one making absolutely zero sense. of course everything else is bad as well. Not sure it has always been this bad, and if so why I've started watching this in the first place.
It's really disappointing Gilfoyle did not came up with a more elegant solution to hack the fridge than brute-force. Aren't these IOT things supposed to be full of exploits?
yeah that's obviously the joke, and it is intended as comedy I think.
Remember this is a show where a man is reincarnated from another
dimension from a power outlet, so I wouldn't expect "realistic" situations to happen in twin peaks.
Those very long shot/countershot with akward silences seem to be the star of the show. Plus the way Lynch uses those ambiant sound to create a palapable tension. Wherever it's going, it's gonna be good.
this indeed was a very elaborate dick joke. totally worth it.
Jared is definitely the best character of the show. love the "whooo!" scene in last episode.
yeah, he obvsiouly saw the odd behavior of Jimmy right away, and came out to spy on him in a much more subtle manner.
another piece of americana I didn't know. figured it had something to do with food.
