yeah, they're punk clowns, and granted it can be subversive sometimes, they don't make a strong point about anything. They just make fun of people making strong point about anything.

"Nothing will happen, as long as we can rely on the rationality and the basic decency of the american people."
oh right. that kinda rings a bell. thanks.
a testament to how much the characters leave a mark, who was her girlfriend again and how did she died?
yeah, just the little bubble of kindness in a brutal world we need. hopefully people can change, even if it's not as straightforward as the show makes it out to be. still it's a kid's show, and kids have enough real life violence thrown at them. as we do.
maybe because nobody is actually that stupid in real life? This is a comedy, not an actual realistic distopian view of the world. And what's happening right now is far more sinister than the plot of the movie.
ok; but the story has absolutely nothing to do, so I don't get why it would be pointless.
It was a very comtemplative movie, the second even more. With the music of Kenji Kawaii, that's part of what made it great (and set it apart from the tv series; even if this was good on its own)
what? what does it have to do with the matrix?
Johannson stared in one of the best SciFi movie I've seen in a while, by that I mean of course "Under the Skin".
Ghost in the shell the original movie, and its following (Innocence) are classic masterpieces. The TV show while very different is one of the best anime on its own. The bar is set very high for this. I keep an open mind (Johansson, Kitano are here) but I'm not holding my breath.
or any feature at the end of the Eric Andre show
I would probably say that "I'm Negan" around 2 minutes of any
popular bullshit cheesy pop song.

(I have a history of becoming violent when I can't escape this kind of music)
You don't need Saddam Hussein anyway to find an exemple of people being submissive to a violent authority that could be overthrown if people united. just look around you. This is amongst the basic human behaviors and structures. There is usually a balance of motives between hope and fear; but for exemple a lot of…
Seems the torture is actually very close to what was done in guantanamo. People were stripped naked, in tiny dark cell, with music blasting and interrupting randomly, going from harsh metal to cheesy.
read this:

"The cells in which the music was blasted were six-foot square, built of
plywood…
this has to be a bit personalised, but any song played for hours on loop at strong volume, when you're in the dark and sleep deprived tends to drive you mad.
well those are cartoonish characters in the comic book, so it fits. This over the top goofy villain is at least kind of entertaining.
Liked how they used the song to torture Daryl. And you really feel how this could be effective as nothing made me cringe this much in the entire show.
Maybe they will add this to the…
'cause the world is but a treat when you're on easy street!'
total recall reference also with Cartman
I find the comic super cheesy, and also its style really ugly. The strength of the show for me over the comic is its aesthetic, its atmosphere the world building, and the bleakness of it all. still i find all the character drama super cheesy and abnoxious like in the comic, I did from the begining, and feel like it…
