I actually wanted an R63 back in the day. Now I’ll settle for a 73 Caprice Kingswood Estate with a 454. Because: weirdo.

“In fact lots of people drove cars before they were “safe” and they’re not dead.”
That’s true. But it circles back to the motorcycle thing. Poor people could also go out and buy a brand new motorcycle for 3000 dollars. And it would be more dangerous than a 80s or 90s car. In fact lots of people drove cars before they were “safe” and they’re not dead. Lol.
“You want poor people to die.”
They rust out really quick, leaving dangerous edges to get tetanus from. That and the weak as a beer can single wall construction of the bed is why they changed to the modern beds of today.
“Silverback” would actually make a good name for a vehicle.
I hereby Christen thee with the nickname: Gorilla

Rallycross!
Autocross? Drag racing? Pikes Peak? These are all questions I would love to see answered with “deuce and a half”.
Key quote:
Deuce and a half is almost always the right answer.
If you drive one of these, such problems become irrelevant:
The Talon was a straight bitch’n cool car to own when I was in highschool in the early 00s
That generation of Nissans do tend to get overlooked. Can’t blame people when the R32 and S13 were so good.
Now that you say it... yeah.
Since we’re on the topic have I told you recently how inappropriately attracted to the GNX I am?
Of course not. It’s a car.
That sucks. I remember a guy I knew in high school that used to sketch cars was OBSESSED with the Scirocco. But its not a big loss. It was nothing special. It was kinda pointless actually being, like the article stated, pretty much just a better looking Golf.
Still disappointed we never got it. I would have gotten one but I ended up in a Golf R instead. I just love the look of the Scirocco.
I would argue that killing off an underpowered, impractical, two-door hatch, based on an outdated platform, that everybody clamoured for, but nobody bought, is just responsible management. Failing to address obvious shortfalls is the stuff that gets CEOs dismissed, so good on Herr VW Manager for saving his own skin.
