Yeah, I think sometimes people forget how sucky it is to drive a bad manual. They’re great on sports cars, but it’s just a hassle in a Ford Explorer or Nissan Versa. Just more work with little if any reward.

I agree. A completely separate sub-culture that doesn’t get nearly enough run on this blog. Some absolute insanity comes out of those garages.

Lowriders very seldom get mentioned in these pages, compared to performance or off-road vehicles, but it is a beautiful car culture that produces legitimate works of art. I defy anyone to say they put more work into their car than the owners of “El Rey” did.

A old coworker of mine went to Japan and brought me a fridge magnet in Japanese with the English translation “no third beer shall go to heaven”

I still desire a Group 5 IMSA Monza. Also a Greenwood Corvette.

Call me crazy, but I don’t hate it.

They weren’t. Our department had two for test vehicles while we demoed them along with the Taurus. The only selling point was the MASSIVE amount of room in the cabin and backseat. We’re talking Crown Vic size. Room in the impala is abysmal. When I put someone in the back I just have them lay across the seat. The

the caprice came on the market when a lot of dept’s discovered that suv’s like the tahoe and explorer do so much better of a job of hauling stuff, and being more comfortable while wearing a utility belt. there were a couple dept’s near me that got the caprice, but now most are switching to the explorer.

I think pretty much everything is delicious if you’re a chicken.

Does the divorce come with the track car, or do I have to buy it separately?

You won’t regret it. Let the Toyota haters hate. My wife is very happy with hers. We have the last-gen body style, so slightly smaller than the current one. The MPG is mediocre, due to an archaic 5-speed auto transmission. But at 70k, nothing has broken in it so far (we bought it new). It’s survived a fender bender,

Did not know they had available adjustable suspension.

My next door neighbor, while I was growing up, had a very clean red one. Bought it new and kept it in good condition for many years. Fond memories of that car, if only because it aged slower than all the other cars around it.

I grew up in Georgia ( the country). In the 90s, recovering from the soviet collapse and with all the ex-soviet people in govt. positions, the country was a hell hole. To have been inside a car, was a cool thing as a kid. Sure, I had been in busses, but only a handful of times had I sat in a car.

How much horsepower did Chubby Checker put out though? He’s been twisting for 50 years.. This VW, only 13.
