True. Japanese and European cars did have some great designs during that time.

Late 80's had a few gems, but so did every decade.
We are living in an era where you can buy 200+hp econoboxes that get decent to great gas mileage, and sports cars where no one bats an eye that they come from the factory with 350-600hp, but all are designed like matchbox cars targeted at 5 year olds OR are designed to be as boring and unnoticeable as possible.
Agreed, certain euro and Japanese vehicles held up design-wise, but domestics were generally depressing failures.
Thats tough, I’d argue the early to mid 90's had some of the best designs, but by the time the end of the millennium rolled around design took a bit of a nosedive. Then again, every decade had its gems and its turds.
Absolutely gorgeous.
In NOVA now, wife has been in line for gas for the past 45 minutes. A bunch of stations ran out, and she is on the clock today making deliveries for work. I told her to stay in line, because the local panic isn’t going to let up anytime soon. If they run out, limp home and move her stuff in my truck that has a full…
So do handicap spots, doesn’t make it better. Dick move.
That is sad since the 2.0 Zetec I had in my ‘00 Focus I think was rated at 130hp and actually was fairly snappy.
‘78 Datsun B210 for least horsepower, though at times it felt zippy compared to my current 2015 Tacoma with the 2.7l..

Or hanging out the door with feet dangling clipped in with a carabiner on my belt attached to one of the floor rings.
Ironically, I purposely have bought those fake DOT stickers to put on imported Snell/ECE helmets I rode with in the past for that very reason.
That is an amazing amount of sarcasm is such a short comment!
Buying a Ferrari has never been my issue, I’ve encountered a number of them over the years that I could have purchased if I was not in the right state of mind.
It’s a pretty realistic threat when you are on the receiving end. A pod with 12 rockets, chances are 10 of them will miss completely, but the 1 or two that make it to target are gonna hurt.
Probably “formerly wing mounted” rocket pods loaded with S-5 (or similar) rockets. If they manage hit anything, they can be pretty effective.
Tanks are on tracks, but you can still buy one!
I’ve totally been doing this for years when someone is nice enough to go out of their way to let me merge. Just a quick thank-you-flash. I didn’t realize it was a normal thing in Japan.
Toyota is infamous for that. Just look at the second gen Tacoma. 2005-2015 model years
