Nice Price.
Nice Price.
I swear this is one of my biggest pet peeves, and now I have a good article to send to people I know are guilty of it!
I always terrified of that, becasue I carry a knife all the time, and most of my knives are in the multi hundred dollar range. I’d lose my mind if I had to drop one of my Emerson’s in the trash at an airport!
That is a good point, but part of being a responsible gun owner, let alone someone who conceal carries, is situational awareness. “Oh shit, I can’t bring this in the airport!” should pop up in your mind before you are in the security line.
Glasses rarely are lethal.
I have a cousin here in VA who did this. She carries daily in her backpack in a “secret” compartment and honestly forgot it was in the bag on her way to Dulles. TSA was pretty understanding after some questioning, and let her call her husband to come and pick it up.
New fully automatic weapons (post ban made after 1986) cannot be sold to civilian public. Newly produced full auto weapons are for sale to law enforcement and government/military only.
I was leaning to NP until I realized that the “Raptor” part was in quotaton marks for a reason. If it was a Raptor with Roush treatment added, NP all day.
Fully automatic weapons are not illegal, just highly regulated, taxed, and new manufacture is banned. While you can get a semi automatic AR15 for under a grand, a fully automatic one will run you closer to $20k, plus background checks, plus a $400 tax stamp, plus a long wait.
I’ve seen that picture a few times now, and every time I look at it I think “Is that really everything? That can’t be all the bits and pieces for that amazing engine?”
Because , especially through the 90's, Japanese imports were much more reliable and less corrosion prone than their domestic counterparts.
Exactly.
Airbags are not the reason car seats and kids do not go in the front seat. Decades of crash test results are the reason. The back seats are significantly safer for children, infants, and even smaller adults.
Import sports cars, even the low powered ones, have always been more expensive than the domestic counterparts.
I had a work acquaintance back in Upstate NY around 2000 that had a Fiero based GT40 replica. Not sure if it was from the same company, but it was surprisingly well done. There was very little Fiero left, and it was running a blueprinted 351 that was supposedly good for a shade over 400hp mated to a 5 speed Porsche…
Doh, it is a manual!
Thanks, aparently I am blind before my third cup of coffee!
NP, a little steep for a 5 year old hatcback with an automatic IMO, but still one of my favorite offerings from Volvo in the past two decades.
I find Xanax and spiced rum to be the most effective countermeasure to turbulence, and just flying in general.
