Glad you made it out. lol I lived in predominantly Black neighborhoods and attended predominantly Black schools, but was always aware of what was going on with the predominant culture. So it wasn’t a shock for me, just more of the same and prepared me for my foray in the world of corporate racism, which is like no

I remember when you posted that and everyone who is thinking about attending a PWI should take note. The brochures and tour guides never really give you a complete picture.

Calling someone “black” was fighting words back in the day. It was like talking about someone’s mother. In fact, the last time I was punished as a child (as in whipped) was when my brother and I were fighting and I called him “black.”
