What other French holidays are there? That was a $400 question.

My ears must've still been outraged from the Capote guess. Or in anticipation of the Capote guess. Maybe I was peeved because it was such an easy FJ. Apparently I don't watch Jeopardy to relax.

I was pretty outraged. I can hear the thought process associating poodles with fay, etc. Especially outraged by the "Who cares?" answer, like books with poodles are for losers. Steinbeck is my favorite writer, so only good ol' Dan made me happy.

Imagine if Noble and Spader co-hosted a season of Dark Matters.

How is Donald O'Connor not as well known as Gene Kelly? (At least outside of Fringe fans.)

I love The Music Man. Shirley Jones and Robert Preston were amazing and charming. It's definitely too long, and there are plenty of shrill and extraneous bits, but I love Professor Harold Hill enough to overlook all of that.

I was thinking about shooting because of the word cartridge. Don't the Olympics have a laser-sighted rifle marksmanship sport? Yeah, I was stumped.

I knew who she was from an episode of the podcast Rock Solid, but couldn't pull her name.

Agreed, it was almost too easy. To guess Gloria Steinem instead was … there are no words for how utterly, ridiculously wrong that was.

Just four more games until the TOC. I hope Marcus ups the entertainment value for as long as he is champ. I was rooting for Christine because she humored Trebek's love of strong accents and had a fun band name, and was sad to see her self-destruct in DJ. These last few games have been painful. Come back,

Jeopardy contestants don't seem to be well-versed in Pratchett. However, many Jeopardy watchers are. Another indicator that we should be playing instead of these knuckleheads.

I got stuck on whittling down from Duke and Carnegie Mellon, while knowing neither of those were right.

All of those contestants were dead to me after that.

After missing the last 2 episodes because of the World Series, I was delighted by this game. Double Jeopardy was Cliff Clavening me. I squealed "Discworld" so loud my husband thought I was having a medical emergency. Those jerks.

Hope he does better next weekend on the Price is Right.

Might as well confess, if the answer's yes.

I got this on DVD when it originally came out, and I don't think there were chapters on it then. After I watched it the first time, I rewatched it in fast-forward, then in fast-reverse. Didn't help.

But worth a chuckle.

Tom's "What" was pretty great. I didn't look like he gave himself much room to write any more of an answer than that. It was a very satisfying flameout by such a poor sport.

"Blockbuster" had me thinking Purple Rain, but then I clued in on the USA part.
