That's what happens when Millennials control pop culture as well as its criticism. They can't be bothered to look that far back.

Oh good, a thing no one wants.

You can't let Dick control your life!

Thank you so much for these reviews. WOT posts too late at night for me to join in, but it's one of the first things I check each morning. The discussions you foster with all the other brainiacs are a joy.

Trebek gets weird before the end of the season, and acts like a kid with senioritis.

My dad had a recipe, but it was confiscated by a teacher when he was in high school.

As much as I would love to see Scorsese completely embrace Wharton and adapting all of her major works, I can't see it happening. They've all had memorable adaptations or are in development. Anyone have his address, so I can send him her ghost stories?

HoM is well-adapted also. Laura Linney is chilling and Gillian Anderson is impossibly delicate.

Yes! And the callback to that at end, before Archer is about to meet her again. It's a beautifully evocative film. Too bad all the other major Whartons have been adapted, because he has a knack for her subtlety.

My husband, who didn't watch Kids In The Hall, didn't understand why that made me laugh so hard.

It's tough to pick a favorite, but I love the familial intimacy of Shadow of a Doubt.

I still don't understand the ire for The Fountain. Too weird, too esoteric? Had people not seen Aronofsky movies before? It's beautifully shot and well acted. I loved the story and how it made me feel, and the soundtrack was haunting.

All of the acting is phenomenal, the faithfulness to the source material is impeccable, and the entire commitment to costume and setting is glorious.

Tarantino is an excellent adaptor of Leonard. That movie is perfection. He gets the casting right, the tone, the dialog, the setting.

I used to read Dandelion Wine at the start of every summer. It simply captured something magical.

Agreed. One of the main points of season 6 is what do heroes do when they've won the day and earned their rest? They never get to rest. Also, we can all, at some point, be our own worst enemy. The creative team was stretched thin with Buffy, Angel, and Firefly, and that added to the exhaustion of the characters -

I always loved that. No chaperone, nothing. The adults in the Toros' world either have check books or are Sparky Pulaski.

There isn't anything about Dick that isn't comedy gold.

It's just a reason to link to Amazon to sell copies of "Never Sleep Again" and other straight to video horror movies. Great synergy, internet.

Adorable! It proves she isn't a research robot.
