It used to be like the TV equivalent of a lava lamp, but they've tried to jazz things up in the past couple of years. They can get off my lawn, too.

I watch Prospectors, but I'm in the same state in which that is filmed, and I love the subject matter (geology and mineral prospecting). I see those folks at gem shows, and geek out a little.

Glad to see a good review. I've seen commercials, but didn't know anything about it, and feared it was a knockoff of The Americans. East Germany had a lot of pressure from the Communist Party because it was their showcase in the West of how well Communism works. The whole era is fascinating.

The Lives of Others is amazing.

So glad Brennan won so we don't have to see Raf again.

Supergroups must've been left over from Celebrity Jeopardy.

I was wondering about that, as a citizen of aforementioned Colorado. Definitely didn't sound right.

Finally, some amazing contestant chit chat! Brainiacs putting the freak on Trebek and America.

I gotta root for a guy who encourages his students to call him the dark lord. Possibly awesome, possible terrible, but at least not boring.

I was so pumped for that category, as a I am an amateur geology enthusiast. The DJ was close to a Cliff Claven for me when it was announced, but the stones category was a big disappointment. Stonewall, bah!

Not enough Dickens and not enough Gaiman. What's happened to Anglophilia in this country?

I can't believe Trebek copped to not knowing something on his precious game board.

One of my favorite X-Files episodes!

A lot of the humor doesn't feel grounded in reality. The first thing that came to mind was the dumb gag about her father not keeping his hands off his organ. The polaroids in the shower, too (although, I don't have siblings, so maybe that is realistic), other character quirks. The relationships, though, are

I can't help but love the energy and heart of this movie. At times it's broad and ridiculous, but the casting saves it. The actors are committed to the family dynamics, so it does resonate as watching a real family.

Too soon!

Not enough Freys.

I had FFL on cassette, but haven't found reasonable replacements on CD. They're of those bands I wanted to get back in my collection. I'll have to check out the newer stuff, especially because I used to love Miranda Sex Garden. Fuck cancer. RIP to a great voice.

Gotta remember Greg Brady and his tiki idol.

Yep, literature + Kent led me right there.
