Did anyone else find this video a little creepy? I can't pinpoint exactly what makes it creepy, maybe it's the grainy, far away, stalkeresque video quality. Or that it's kind of surreal looking.

The reporter was such a condescending asshole. Here you have these WOMEN (not girls) risking their lives and freedom to make a political statement and she treats them like angsty teens.

If this guy's stupid joke had been about her, about another woman, misogynistic in any way, sexist in any way, hostile in any way, I would be on board with this.

Are you saying that in the movie her misogyny is depicted as something serious and negative? I can't imagine that the fight scene plays much differently in the full version.

Faggot and racial slurs are also an effective tool for attacking men, but if those were used I assure you it would not be played for laughs in the trailer.

I haven't seen the movie, but I don't need to in order to analyze this particular joke. If she called him the n-word, or a faggot, or any other slur it wouldn't have been played as a joke in the trailer. This is clearly meant to illicit laughter from the audience because hatred against women is not taken seriously.…

This movie looks horrible, cliche and misogynistic. Just because they threw in a female protagonist doesn't make it any less misogynistic. It boggles my mind that lines like "act like a bitch get slapped like a bitch" and "take your tampon out" can be put into a movie that is supposed to celebrate "girl power".
