I’m really interested in seeing Widow Emily. She was an amazing character, but her life had become Mrs. Richard Gilmore due to societal expectations. I’m interested in Emily as somebody both mourning a beloved husband, but also maybe finally getting to be Emily Gilmore.

I cannot tell you how much I want them to work this in. It wouldn’t even be difficult! Explain away the name change and you could totally believe Paris became that character.

I just finished rewatching Gilmore Girls and ended the series ugly-crying into my ramen because now that I’m an adult(ish) I get ALL THE FEELS when Lorelai’s dad tells her that they’re proud of her and her accomplishments, because everything is hard right now and I identify so much more with Lorelai.
