The Don Jr. lie didn’t not make me as furious as Sanders repeating one right wing conspiracy about Hillary as fact right after the other. Hillary did not give away 20% of our uranium to the Russians. The POTUS sent his Press Secretary out to tell blatant lies. Which this “Christian” mother did without batting an

I may be wrong but I vaguely remember that in the overall population, a majority of Americans are pro-choice. So the only reason Democrats would believe that backing off on pro-choice would get them elected is due to gerrymandering. As in, the districts are drawn to give rural, conservative voters more power over

Yeah, that seems to be a theme with their post-episode commentary: wildly missing the point of the scene. They did it with Arya and Nymeria, and now they’ve done it with Jon and Dany.

Jon and Dany’s writers were both full of shit. Like, Jon had SO many more arguments he could have given, hell, he could have tried namedropping Aemon for sympathy, but he just did such a lousy job of making his case. And you alreayd summed up Dany’s ping pong.

Hey. It’d be great if I didn’t have to scroll past 1,000 gifs. My phone is completely overloaded, and that amount of gifs was entirely unnecessary.

Couldn’t have talked about literally any event that happened there he couldn’t have known about.

Right,i agree that if the Dem response was “see assholes, this is why we need single payer and will fuck shit up until we get it” then you’re right it would accomplish very little legislatively.

Yeah, this is not complicated stuff. Articulate your values — values substantively different from those of the Republican party, which to be fair would require Dems to have substantively different values (hmm maybe that’s the rub here?) — and stand up for them.

This morning Putin adversary (and chess genius) Garry Kasparov tweeted this perfect take on the Putin/Trump modus operendi (and he’s spot-on)...

This is utterly terrible and unfortunately expected.

It unfortunately did happen...

I’ve done work in marketing and the only answer I can really give you that honestly speaks to my experience is that branding itself sucks. A healthy mind requires input and recognition from a multitude of different angles, some affirming and some less agreeable but in the end we should all want what’s best for the

Have you seen their powers of deflection? Trump is the new Teflon Don.

The problem is that they didn’t actually want to repeal it. They just wanted to stick it to the left. Unfortunately for them they’re now realizing that means doing something with policy consequences.

That’s Jon Snow’s big flaw, though- he’s unable to explain it. He inspires men with his bravery, and the Northerners all love and admire and respect him, but he just isn’t quite capable of getting across the danger of the situation.

The problem with that scene was the writing. Jon and Sansa (and Davos) should have had a group discussion outlying the plan before giving it to the northern leaders. That way Sansa and Davos don’t learn their roles on the spot. But for a variety of reasons, the writers can’t do that.

I really wish the writers would have Jon and Sansa have some constructive debates about their plans before they speak in front of all the lords, so that they can work out their disagreements in private and then present a unified front in public. Are there no PR people in The North?

I agree with Sansa a lot of the time and I think she’ll make an excellent Queen of the North (if that’s where this is going). She’s right to challenge Jon but the one thing she hasn’t learned is to not do it in a room full of people. Or at least, if you’re going to disagree with the dude, don’t be so shrill about it.

Its because the series is wrapping up, she is wrong, and the audience knows more than her. That is a very generous reading of her character development. The writers have completely screwed up her character. They are trying to use her to create drama but it is not working. The audience knows Tyrion is trust worthy.

I think you’ve already pointed out the biggest problem. Democrats can’t get “their narrative” out effectively because they haven’t completely integrated their party’s vision with a bona fide propaganda network. The media are only as liberal as the conservative businesses that own them.
