It appears I need to practice my reading.

I agree. Bodyweight exercises are great for getting in shape but to increase your muscle mass weights have a bigger(pun intended) impact.
To me 3 sessions would mean repeating one attempt 3x. It might work well for drawing a cone but it will not help reading same chapter 3x in order to understand a concept. Instead, you may find yourself reaching for other resources that can shed more light on the subject for you. I guess it all comes down to how we…
My new skill is to become an Architect. Would you break that down into 3 sessions routines? While this approach is great for improving your physical abilities, it would be almost impossible to break down the complex cognitive skills into smaller routines. Which is why this process is great for kids because the skills…
As much as I find that this process might be to simplistic for adults it seems perfect for my kids. Great idea for an app!
One important point omitted in this article is "We blame others for our own mistakes". Personally my pet peeve.
This is so true. In order to strive to think different we often overlook the simplest of solutions and vice versa. Thanks for a great book recommendation:
Success should be measured by how happy you are with your life. Recently I started getting up at 6 am which made me feel much more successful.
I would suggest setting goals every 2 months since studies have shown it takes 66 days for an average person to form a habit. http://groapp.com/upgrade-yourse…
Piggybacking on existing habits is a good way to serve as a reminder. But the challenge is to make yourself go the distance until the habit is actually formed. You might find this interesting, Patrick. http://groapp.com/upgrade-yourse…
I can't think of any problem that can be resolved with aggression outsides of sports or hostility.
This advice is especially useful when you have kids and find yourself on the back burner most of the time, its important to remember to find time for your inner kid.
Clearly this article focuses on kidless marriages, as kids tend to shape the financial decision making, eliminating the personality differences between the spouses.
Excellent article, Gregory. Consistency leads to habits, and developing healthy habits is like adding new features to yourself. I think you'll find this approach interesting http://groapp.com/upgrade-yourse…
I totally agree with this principle. But I would add that setting too many 90-day resolutions can also mean failure. Ideally we should focus on not more than 3 at a time.
I agree that this concept goes against the mainstream approaches. But on the other hand we learn the best from making mistakes, so in order to progress faster you need to constantly tackle the problems outside your comfort zone, otherwise you'll just remain... mainstream.
Use your apps, don't let your apps use you
I use Lumosity, not for long-term benefit, but rather to kickstart my brain each morning.
Interesting take, since most people tend to "penalize" themselves with good habits to be able to indulge in bad ones.
Tori, you took the words right out of my... website. The official app for your article: http://www.groapp.com/upgrade-yourse…
