@ddhboy: sorry you dint give any reason you chose blackberry over ipad. For attending meetings you can find more apps for ipad already than for a future blackberry tablet. For enterprise, since 3.0, iOS has been enterprise-friendly with 4.0 even more so, and most enterprises allow ipads into their networks.

@TheMightyTexMex: App store provides an easy way to search for apps, install, upgrade, and not having to pay for them separately. It makes installing, accessing apps easier and also provide user reviews and ratings, top charts, new and noteworthy apps, etc. So I would consider this an advantage over Windows, where

1. Only real-world typical use advantage full-fledged multi-tasking has over iOS multi-tasking, is a background IM client. Atleast this is the thing I can think of. There probably are other lesser-used use-cases, but give that iOS multi-tasking is sufficient for most use cases, and is more efficient on CPU and RAM

@SpinachPuffs: Giving a case with the iphone 4 permanently would make an impression that it is a flawed device with a flawed design, and it isnt really. Many people use it without the case without any problem.

@Mark Anthony Hall: I completely agree. Thats what I wanted to bringup as well. For example, with iphone 4's retina display, I dont think Adobe's Flash would have supported it for a while until other phones also start getting it. Same thing with gyroscope that was introduced with iPhone 4. I believe this will

@Coachpatato: there are 2 rules that could go against VLC for ipad. One is that app should not consume battery excessively or heat up the iPad. Since VLC will decode all the different formats in software, unlike quicktime which uses hardware acceleration for the few formats it supports (i think so), it will fail this

@jimbimmer: by death grip, do you mean just touching the black strip, or pressing hard on it? And also how much drop do you see with the case on? Thanks for sharing.

Based on what I have read — the range is -51 to -121, with -51 being the best and strongest signal, and -121 being obviously zero signal. However, Anandtech's article had mentioned the phone 4 holds onto calls even when signal drops close to -121, unlike iphone 3gs which drops the calls around -113db.

@MarcusMaximus: I havent read the entire thread, but just want to add that I own an ipad, and I must say the 25k apps which were specifically designed for the ipad really create the potential that ipad has. Ofcourse I love the ipad's builtin-apps also — the photos app is simply great, browsing, ibooks, email, itunes,

I was not sure Apple actually is ready with its iTV yet — but these reports in bloomberg, and businessweek today, and the fact that roku dropped its prices, is probably making it more and more likely that iTV will be announced tomorrow!

@Zoot: No... it will still be surprising to see netflix on iTV — since netflix is a competitor to itunes. Your toaster company does not compete with netflix so yes, you might eventually see netflix on your toaster, i agree :-)

I use Pulse for my news reading, but am considering Reeder (will have a look at River of News also).

I liked the ability to go to blockbuster anytime and pick up a movie. Now if I want to watch a movie on a given night, late decision, then I am limited to what netflix streams or is available on the on-demand on cable provider. "I cannot watch the movie I want to watch". Thats the problem — that blockbuster solved.

@Suicidal Octopus: Apple TV is too soon.. I dont think they can get it ready before holiday season

i have never understood the utility of this extension — chrome-to-phone. Hardly have I ever had the need to transferring the URL from the chrome browser to my phone. I could just type it on my phone easily, or if its too big, heck just email it... Or in most cases, searching on google on the phone will anyway get

@Cordfucious of Nursing Clan: Really! :-) Btw, I have many more, but what I listed are ones I like. Thanks for suggesting flight control HD, I had heard abt it but never downloaded it. Now I have, and I like it!

@buckleyneko1: Thanks — i dont mind getting paid ;-) ...

iPad apps that I like that you might want to consider for your future updates:

I am sure many of these photographs are edited in photoshop for enhancing the effect. For example, look at #7, its almost impossible to be real, i think the color of the land is touch upon.
