I appreciate the cops letting him get roughed up a bit.

So even rich people use the “it got mailed to the wrong address excuse,” as if that nullifies their obligation. Love it. I hope the parking space rent is very high.

Watched? This is Finland, most of them probably attend 25+ events per year

On the other hand, these are rally fans and they’ve watched enough rally to know that a car that has rolled around once doesn’t explode.

they would have the weight advantage plus those tiny wheels and instant torque of electric motors would pull it along quite easily. 40 of them could probably raise a semi.

imagine 45 of those bad boys pulling a car out of a ditch

That would be a life well lived.

Given no financial burdens, this is how I want to spend the balance of my life.

Witness? I have gloves, though I’m nowhere close to being as fast as the guy with the tow strap.

But it doesn’t really matter anyway, you would first have to get Americans off their couches to come spectate which seems like a tough ask.

*note: dont do that

Nope, that’s what Marshals are for. But it doesn’t really matter anyway, you would first have to get Americans off their couches to come spectate which seems like a tough ask.

Rallying is like the ice hockey of motor sports. Player gets messed up, goes back for stitches, comes back to play. In rallying, car goes off road, fans pull them out and the guys get hauling again.

Now, I want to take a trip to Finland just to witness these fans doing their thing. They’re fantastic!

This is why we can’t have nice things: if this were happening stateside, there would be that one idiot that thinks “shit, I’ll just stand on the other side of the road so that I don’t have to run as far to help them when they crash”. That person would die, and then the family would sue, and all future rallies would

They believe that every car should Finnish the race.

I think this kind of interaction with fans really puts Rally at another level.
