Life saving drugs are kept expensive and inaccessible because of shady patents.

I feel like the lack of comments on this article means that people didn’t realize the gravity of this case. Had the court ruled in Lexmark’s favor, it would have opened the door for all sorts of chicanery from companies sneaking anti-reselling language into their EULA’s. We dodged a major bullet here, people.

Bullshit legal speak aside, this whole case came down to Lexmark not liking that people weren’t buying new cartridges after their old ones were used up because a small company found a way to save people some coin. When I think of “hazing the new guy”, I think of harmless practical jokes. Trying to convince him to go ask the parts store for something stupid like a muffler bearing, moving things while he’s not looking, stupid little things like that.

If the cars are alive, is it attempted murder when one car wrecks another?

Seeing as the current administration is planning on neutering or getting rid of the EPA, I am assuming this will soon be a problem for the state of Washington to handle?

I empathize 100%. But think of what car or gun or even geography enthusiasts have learned to tolerate in movies.
