He isn't saying that he wouldn't put out a PC version, just that their background is console, and they will be building with that control structure in mind (ie. making it for PS4, but might do a PC port if we get to them in time. I want it to be cross platform and cross server. I don't see what advantages PC players would have over console for this.

I can't watch the video. But sonic was also a lot more than "hold right except for sometimes". The game was all about timing. Jump timing, forward momentum timing, figuring out the physics and working out the ballistics so you can jump on or jump over enemies. I mean it's just a different flavor of platforming. Sure…
