It is treated as a style of dance for the competition. Just as Argentinian dancers are not (necessarily) flown in to perform the Argentinian tango, and Spanish dancers are not imported to perform the pasodoble, etc. Hope this helps.
I am failing to understand how this is offending the great people of India. This is making Bollywood dancing more mainstream, is that a problem? I am pretty sure some folks in some part of the non-western world would appreciate having their exotic dance be part of a major show in the US, just like white people have…
Bollywood heavily imitates and borrows from Western Media, no problem with their Bollywood style dance.
Do you know the story about Titanic? Apparently NDG hassled James Cameron for years over the constellations in the sky at the end. NDG said they were incorrect for 1912 and that time of year so when Titanic was re-released in 3D a few years ago, Cameron corrected it for him. I super admire that level of nerd tenacity.
I love NDT, but I also believe that being friends with him would be super annoying. “Ugh, there’s no parking!” “Well, actually all the atoms that make up stuff is composed of empty space. If we could re-arrange matter there would be more then enough space to park.” “I hate you."
Of all the dumb shows I watch, I think Ballers it’s the dumbest. And this includes Empire and Once Upon a Time
Rex Ryan has that face every time he enters a shoe store.
That’s not a series-ending boner. This is a series-ending boner…
I specialized in Jacksonian history. Hell my masters thesis was on the Polk administration. Jacksons is a fascinating figure, crucial to understanding the period leading up the the Civil War.
He spent the day learning about quantum computing, and understood it well enough to talk about it? A politician that listened, processed, and could answer a question to that knowledge!?! If only the rest of the world was that lucky.
If you mean with dodging the question “answering the Isis question right after the clapping has died down”- which you can see if you watch any video continuing after the quantum bit. Which you can here http://www.cpac.ca/en/programs/he… (he starts answering the Isis question at around 8.25). By the way, it took me…
I am not one who usually complains about being overly PC, because that charge is usually thrown out by conservatives and libertarians to shut down criticism of their own wacky ideas rather than engage in a discussion. But in this case you are being overly PC. Much of 19th and early 20th century literature is saturated…
“Reminder: Rudyard Kipling Was a Racist Fuck and The Jungle Book Is Imperialist Garbage.”
Back when blocking shots hurt, it was a little easier to score. About half of Gretzky’s goals were big wind up slappers that he shot low and goalies flinched over them. And I don’t blame the goalies, guys were shooting in the 90s already and the chest pads didn’t really help.
No defense, small goalie pads, lots of fun.
Perhaps a more impressive Gretzky seasonal record was in assists. Before Gretzky, only one player had broken 90 (Bobby Orr), and Gretzky beat Orr’s best by 60% when he put up 163.
In hockey terms, Curry’s 402 is similar to Gretsky’s 215 points.
