@Pixelologist, Esq.: Ha ha. I'm a veterinarian, and the hospital is family-owned so there's no way in ;)

I love my Tour, and I loved my Curve before that. But if this is the best card up RIM's sleeve, I suspect my next phone will be a 'Droid.

That surface looks like it may be rubberized... I vote multi-touch trackpad with haptic feedback.

Right... you mean the light is programmed to glow red once in a while to convince you that you need an air purifier.

@GhoS: Because people buy what they know. If I mention my mp3 player to coworkers, they look at me like a spaceman. Eventually one of them says "is that like an iPod?"

I looooove my Zune HD, but apps are the least compelling thing about it.

Oh boy... I hope they introduce webca —- err... Facetime (tm) again!

@Sir Gibler: If you want to get a little more than KH2, do yourself a favor, and dig up a copy of Tron 2.0 on PC. It's a shame the fiction is being scrapped for the new movie, but it's a great game, and didn't get the attention it deserved.

@Zelyre: Came for this reference. Did not leave disappointed.

@Nicko01001: Yup. That's what everybody thought until digital mp3 sales pulled ahead of CDs. Even if it isn't streaming, it'll still be a digital purchase that you'll be able to watch anytime because it's stored on an NAS somewhere.

This is all irrelevant. Sony is correct that Blu Ray is a transitional format, but it's not a transition to another kind of disc.

I've been wondering this for ages, too. It seems idiotic to have the recorded material go down with the plane, and we clearly have the technology to do better.

@ryusen: That's interesting about the AF system — I didn't realize that.

He-Man did it.

@ryusen: That's pretty much what I thought — thanks for confirming!

@Nitesh Singh: I'd love for someone who understands cameras to really explain this point, actually. Honestly, what's the need for a mirror anymore? The whole point of old-fashioned SLRs was so that the viewfinder would show exactly what the lens saw. But now that we're digital, ALL electronic viewfinders do that

@aec007: I'll have to look into COBAIN! Thanks for the tip :)

@thatguyzx: I'm with aec007 on this one — I'd love MS backup perfectly fine if it didn't insist on packing everything into one backup file. It's a big point of failure, and it's not convenient if I just need to dig out an older copy of something. I don't know why they don't give me the option to turn that off.
