To be fair you probably should replace your airbags after 10 years anyway (if not sooner) because the detcord (that’s what’s “inflates” the airbag) only has a stable shelf-life of about 5 years before it stops activating reliably.

Nope, it’s more or less a basic thermostat coil in there that rotates as is gets colder, if it’s started to turn blue (instead of red) it means that things are probably icy and you probably should be driving more cautiously, with chains, or some form of winter tires on.

While they call it diamond city, but they also couple that with being “the great green jewel of the commonwealth”... I too caught the wizard of oz vibes as well.
