I’d challenge most Americans to find Damascus on the map, let alone Aleppo.

Johnson wants to represent America and a large part of America probably does not know what/where Aleppo is either.

Like it or not the flag and anthem mean something to millions of Americans. It is hard to argue for nuance when you purposefully grandstand and preform a disrespectful act.
