I was thinking about it and when they made Scooby-Doo originally it was like a bunch of hippies and their dog, right? So now it is a bunch of hipsters and their dog. Makes sense actually.

This was my favorite bit from this episode! “Finally... It’s my go.” and then all the ways he describes his mind being blown. I loved it!

I feel like this is the opposite side of the pendulum swing, plot/story-wise. Not too many years ago everything was all about the central mystery, often with characterization and continuity of character taking a backseat to driving that mystery forward.

So, was Wright’s original script... Hope less?

If you did the episodic version, I think it could very well end up as a not-as-good-version of what is already brilliant in the comics. But by reworking the material into a big movie, Gaiman’s brilliant characters and ideas get to take shape in a way they never have before.
