Tesla was actually pretty similar at the start when they were making roadsters out of Lotuses. it wasn’t until the Model S that they started using the Apple style of marketing to build up the brand.

I have really enjoyed the low-profile approach of Rivian and Lucid, compared to Tesla.

Also bonus points towards NP because it’s not wrapped in the idiotic matte black I always see these in around my area.

As a fellow 6'6" person I can attest that the R8 cabin is more than good enough for someone of that height (not all two seaters offer enough legroom or headroom).

I admit that most of the appeal is probably for Piech era VW fans, who appreciate just how silly stuff like a V10 Touareg, W8 Passat or this are. They’re the sort of cars that no logical auto manufacturer would build today, including the VW of today.

Of course. Buying any performance-oriented car without a PPI is a huge gamble anyway, so that was just assumed. Put $200 or so on the line to avoid years of costly service? Seems like an easy decision to make.
