So, yeah, people should think for awhile before signing a contract with a shitty contractor. Brilliant advice John.

Eh. Theres nothing funky on the market anymore. And the ones that could be aren’t. CH-R is small and boring. I was going to suggest the Kona but its boring too and the N doesn’t come out until this fall and is probably going to be way more than $30k.

Dude*, no shit. José almost went with the C-HR but instead suggested the rarest, but arguably boringest car Subaru offers. I don’t care who used to complain, by damnit we need Torch and Tracy back on the WCSIB beat with all reservations lifted.

Here’s an Outback, but not a wagon, and more vanilla!

This Jalopnik segment went downhill pretty fast and now most writers simply phone it in.

They missed the only answer that would have been correct. For the record, I hate the Soul and the Juke, but they are definitely cut from the same cloth.

Especially the EV version that may or may not be out by next summer.  Dunno how that fits into his price requirements though.

I thought it was grimly funny given the fate of Saab, but I’ve also been told more than once that I’m an asshole.

is it just me, or is photographing a car in a graveyard like that, regardless the message, really tacky or cringeworthy?

I would normally agree, having owned nothing but FWD vehicles in a couple decades of driving in Michigan. I think Owen’s situation is different though because of the snowy mountain roads he will likely drive on going from Massachusetts to Maine and back. Also, and I don’t mean to be patronizing to Owen, he can’t have

All the people who think AWD is a substitute for winter tires and driving technique are the reason winter driving is dangerous.

First year car. Never buy a first year car.”

Um, why is AWD a must, exactly? Do you plan on driving through a lot of snow drifts? AWD does not really help you with icy or snow covered roads.
