I’m guessing the blemishes, mods, and lack of emissions fix are turning people off. This car is considerably cheaper than the other stick shift Passat TDIs that I could find, though the comps were all in better condition. I’m narrowly calling it a nice price. It seems like a good deal for someone who specifically

The full skid plates should just be standard.

Lol, I borrowed my Uncle’s ‘65 Vette to take a girl to a drive-in once. I tested them before I left his place.

??? where do you get that from? The LNF (and later turbo DI ecotecs) are pretty solid.

My FIL had a ‘69 Camaro with the hideaway headlights when I started dating his daughter. He let us take it out on date night one night; after dinner I couldn’t get the little doors to open. I ring him up and he about dies laughing and says, “It’s an old car, just drive with the doors closed! Some light still shines

I realize that its more of a safety thing now than anything else (either the weirdo thing wasn’t safe, or making the car safe is so expensive now they can’t afford to put money into weirdo stuff and keep the price down), so there is no comic-book-esque supervillain to shake our fists at...

A quick search on Carfax turned up 4 HHR SS’s with manuals. The cheapest was $6995 and the most expensive was the NPOND. So IF, you really wanted one (and I’m not sure I want to meet the person who really wants one of these) there are better deals to be had. But NADA is low-balling, even at the retail price.

NADA says:

Not that engineering and building cars is cake, but probably designing a high-performance EV is a bit easier than a high-performance gas car.

10 seconds is probably the time the battery will last. (I’ll see myself out)

Yeah... he wants to spend up to $150K on a vehicle but he’s worried about paying a bit of extra tax.  Fucking stupid.

I always laugh at these tax carve outs or reduced registration fees or whatever perk many states give for heavy vehicles over a certain weight. It’s so incredibly dumb. While I’m sure they were originally intended for things like contractors, farmers, or small businesses that actually need bigger vehicles, I’d wager

Camry without the Camry dent, should be some out there, BMW with working turn signals?

This isn’t for rolling up to vintage race events, this is for rolling up to the drift track with your slammed S13.

I’d let them know it’s clear they’re targeting me and contact my lawyer.

In the next monthly meeting, they will absolutely call in a new rule to specifically address this vehicle, and it will be hilarious to witness some self-obsessed white lady that demands you address her with her full professional “titles” try and describe this vehicle in a way that makes sure the rule covers it, but

I think that a vintage racer with a Japanese car should pick this up and show up at the track with it. It’d be a perfect combo. Imagine if one were to show up at the Monterey Reunion with a Datsun 240z or 510 on board. It’d be a hoot. Put on a bosozoku body kit just for chuckles.

OT : have you noticed that there is a

I want it just to give my HOA seizures

300 is the correct number of horsepower for something with a footprint and weight the size of the Tiguan.

Forrest Gump?! Come on. The “magic” of inserting Tom Hanks into historical footage looked as bad then as it does now, and it obliterates any good will that the effects folks might have generated with Lt. Dan’s legs.
