There are FIVE writers?!

It’s an easy and cheap way to retcon any character to a pre-assjole setting. It’s also the same way Fraction “redeemed” Tony Stark after Civil War.

Like the article says, it's full of neo-liberal and centrist garbage. It's got some great characters and the dialogue has some amazing moments, but the political side didn't age well. There's a multi-episode arc where they magically create peace between Israel and Palestine and it's... It's not great.

My brother and I are just close enough in age that our parents would get us action figures for Christmas; mostly Turtles and G.I. Joe. We got lucky once or twice and got a few playsets, the Batcave from the 1989 movie and the G.I. Joe oil rig platform thing? I don’t remember what it was actually called. We held into

I’ve said for years that Deadpool is a seasoning, not a main ingredient. A little Deadpool goes a long way and a full movie focused on him (1h48m and 2hrs, respectively) runs the risk of the movie feeling like babysitting a small child with untreated ADHD and a large mountain of sugar.

This list is focused on pulp characters, but...

If you follow Jess Nevins on social media, he does a list around new year’s that tells you all the characters, books, etc. that are falling in public domain.

If they’d done it on TNG, they knew how to create a transporter duplicate and Tuvix would have gone to another ship or something like that.

There is that, but if you look at it another way, Tuvix can do everything that Tuvok and Neelix can do— and is more personable than Tuvok and a better cook than Neelix— and you save resources. Tuvix only needs one room, eats half the meals, less power, less holodeck time. If they’re on a decades-long journey and

I think Jessica Henwick auditioned for Shang-Chi and they didn't cast her because they wanted to keep the option of bringing Colleen Wing open.

There was that shit of the roller rink flunky's corpse. Which is not something that would fly in most MCU productions.

Speaking of costumes, halfway through, Maya's clothes visually echo (no pun intended, I swear) Daredevil's. Deep red and black, tactical, the leather harness as an accent.

I honestly think the pacing feels different because so many scenes are in ASL and take longer to play out than traditional MCU productions. Which is not a dig, but I can see how it feels off.

Actually, I was wrong. I did the math myself and apparently was way off. The MCU Wiki’s timeline entry’s most recent date is June of 2025, with what looks like an event from Ms. Marvel.

“Present day” for the MCU is currently May or June of 2024, based on Echo.

I liked how they used Daredevil. I realized a few minutes before he showed up that Maya was in the same building as the trailer and was pleasantly surprised at how it was handled. It felt like a comic.

I LOVE Krysten Ritter, I just hate how Jessica was written for the Netflix shows.

Having watched the whole thing, it’s better than Jessica Jones.

I’m almost through the first episode and I’ve got to say, it’s solid. It’s a little front heavy on the exposition, but it doesn’t drag and it looks like it gets to where the story needs to be instead of dragging its feet.

Even the hypothetical season eight that was discussed in What We Left Behind had Ezri as captain of the USA Emmett Till.
