They gave Winter an ultimatum. If he wanted to do Vinyl, he had to end BE. So that's what he chose. The truncated final season serviced no one. Poor execution.
It would certainly be that explosive, 15 years later, if not even worse. The information coming to light so late doesn't diminish the act itself. It's still a raw topic for many people in New York, and those who lost loved ones.
