Florida?

The modern Hemis are actually named after aircraft: The 5.7 is the Eagle (F-15), 6.4 is the Apache (helicopter) and the Hellcat after the WWII Grumman aircraft. The exceptions are the Demon which is named after the A-body from the early 70s and the 6.4 Hemi used in the Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 which is just

You honestly think a truck chassis is not strong enough for a Hellcat powertrain?

Its a half ton so more like 5000 lbs; 7000lbs is heavy duty (3/4 and 1 ton) curb weight

Those are both HDs though. I wonder if they were testing a functional hood scoop intake like GM uses

That’s what they’re calling the wireless phone charging pad:

I think a street truck Ram would make much more sense than an off roader for the Hellcat.

Have you driven one? It saves a good amount of space and if you have a front center passenger their knee doesn’t sit right where its about to kit the column shifter. The clicks are positive and you can shift without having to look at the shifter after you get used to it-which takes all of 2 days. The slap stick

They have a different stick now in the Durango and Charger that doesn’t reset itself to center-it stays in the position you click it to like you’d expect. Its a fully electronically controlled transmission, they could literally design any kind of shifter they wanted. They could make it voice controlled if they wanted.

Have you seen how fast SRTs depreciate?

Its as wide as the one in every fullsize truck since they started putting consoles in them. The cabs are the same whether you have a bench seat or console and you can remove the console and put a seat there, hence it is wide enough to fit a person.

Don’t forget the godawful bolt on fender flares they call a “widebody kit”

As bleak as the 80s were for cars and performance, these were a bright spot-and I am not a Chevy guy

Being dismissive when someone calls out your ignorant statements as such does not make your ludicrous statements credible.

They have no space limitation, the bed can be stacked with any kind of dirty/outsize/oversize/cumbersome cargo, and if you still need more room you can add a trailer. Compared to a Honda fit that can carry 4 people with no bags or two with them.

Hood is above the bottom of the windows which are above the top of the bedsides:

Yeah I was thinking there’s no way that seat back can be comfortable. Chevy already has unsupportive seats, though they are soft, so you’ll probably sink right through the padding into the plastic

Even if there’s none from the factory, Console Vault makes them for about every truck and most SUVs

The extra exercise you will get from unloading the bed so you can change a flat tire is sure to keep you in tip-top shape. Other truck owners just lazily winch theirs down from under the bed

No kidding, the door in the seat is the only real innovation here-my Ram has all the others. I didn’t realize the other brands didn’t.
