There are actually MULTIPLE shops on the boardwalks in Rehoboth and Bethany that serve only fries. The most famous is Boardwalk Fries, but they are the crappiest too. Right across the street from it in Bethany is its competitor: DB's Fries, which are my recommendation. unlike Boardwalk fries, DB's are fresh cut

So, head cannon basically. If you count up actual conquests shown or implied on screen, it's still fewer than Picard (and fewer than Riker) although I suppose the TNG crew did have more hours of overall screen time.

Oh please. He was willing to turn a blind eye to Quark's nefarious illegal dealings for 7 years. Where were his ironclad starfleet principles then? Sisko was NEVER portrayed as a perfect and moral upstanding starfleet officer. He always fought a little dirty when it suited him. He was no golden boy. At the

With that cast and writer's room? I'm not so sure!

He didn't really sacrifice shit. He didn't lose his son or his job or any friends or standing. All he had to do was feel a little bit dirty (but heroic too). Big fucking deal. He was never a Boy Scout anyway. Get out of here with that "sacrificing everything he holds dear" shit, haha

Ahem, who exactly did Kirk bang? I can think of two. Hardly legendary.

It's one of the greatest Trek episodes ever and a brilliant performance (although I would put Far Beyond the Stars slightly higher) … But, is Sisko really that great a captain in it? Really all he does is tell Garak his goal, and then Garak does all the scheming, planning, networking, logistics, and everything else.

Picard. Here's three good reasons:

i dunno the behind the scenes politics, but that would be like Shatner turning down Star Trek films because he wants to pursue the TJ Hooker franchise.

Pearl is the best space rock mad scientist mom.

Time Chasers. it's got really funny riffing all the way through. just an A+ solid episode.

Space Mutiny is a hilarious episode … but a fairly competent movie? uhhhhh. maybe compared to Manos or Batwoman i guess? those golf carts decked out in cardboard were never going to anything other than insanely goofy. the acting is as bad as it gets. the exterior special effects are all just stolen from old tv

Oodles O'Keefe (Miles' grandson)

i watched one that was annotated — every single joke and reference explained. i always thought i was getting a pretty high percentage of the jokes, but i was surprised at how much stuff i assumed was just random silliness was actually an obscure reference.

ok this is turning out awesome. dan harmon, joel mchale, mary jo pehl (i dont care if you didnt like latter-era skits, she is FUNNY), bill corbett, elliot kalan, felicia day, patton oswalt … this is gonna be cool.

Man what Do you want? you might as well complain that transporters and warp tech are impossible. Yeah there are certain narrative conceits that will be employed for dramatic effect, because watching 1000 people slumber for 500 years while they travel from one star system to its nearest neighbor would not make for

There was apparently some executive who made the same complaint about Stewart's baldness. "Wouldn't we have cured that by the 24th century?" Roddenberry's famous response was "by the 24th century, nobody would care." Now that's optimism. And honestly optimism is what makes Trek unique in Sci Fi.

I'm pretty sure the Defiant didn't actually have a "ramming speed".

Agree on all points. Picard is great for all the right reasons.
