I briefly thought about making a sarcastic comment about his weight/ health and the “surprise” of him dying.
But that seems tasteless. He was a human being who left friends and family behind. People will mourn him. I’m sorry I even considered the joke for a second. And I hope no one else is “that person.”

Mr. West is no more or less deserving of help than is the guy talking to his demons and living in the bushes in my neighborhood. The tragedy isn’t Delonte, it’s the Delonte along with the hundreds of thousands of others like him who need mental health help and don’t get it.
