Did someone just say Super Saiyan Coulson?

Here are some things I noticed from this trailer. Full disclosure: HOLY SHIT I AM PUMPED FOR THIS MOVIE.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned that the Kree blood transfusion is a callback to Agents of Shield. Agent Coulson was resurrected with Kree blood. There was an extended plot arc involving the remains of the Kree and attempts to use the remaining Kree blood to augment other people.

So... She’s a human with a Kree blood transfusion and fractured memories?

Do, guessing from the trailer, Danvers dies in a plane crash. The Kree then find her and bring her back to life with an infusion of their blood, and give her super powers to fight in the Kree/Skrull war. Which takes her to a Earth where she meets Nick Fury and rediscovers her humanity.

So the most important thing to take from the trailer is ...

All I really hope for in Avengers 4 is to see the original team, now feeling broken and hopeless... The door opens, in walks Agent Coulson with that giant gun slung over his shoulder. He glances around the room, then says, “Come on, we have work to do.”

Do my eyes deceive me or do I see Merlyn, Sampson and Diaz as cops? That’s outstanding.

Legends of Tomorrow is easily my favorite of the Arrowverse shows, in part because they don’t take themselves to seriously, so I could definitely see something like this happening (not that I expect it). Also, if they gave Malcolm Merlyn and Damien Darhk their own series and wrote them like in season two of Legends

We all know communism was just a red herring.

It’s a clue designed to be misleading or a distraction, but that’s not important right now.

It is good to see the Son of Coul back on the big screen.

It’s not all about her either:

Why are they de-aging Clark Gregg? He hasn’t agreed a day since Clear and Present Danger was in theatres.

There can be only one, he is immortal, he is Phil, Son of Coul of the Clan Coul.

Into every generation a Coulson is born: one man in all the world, a chosen one. He alone will wield the snark and skill to unite great heroes and fight the forces of darkness; to stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their number.

Since ancient times, there has always been a son of Coul who would stand against the forces of darkness...

Look, I know we said that Agent Coulson never gets old, but...

I like the idea that Coulson never ages, due to some distant Asgardian ancestor. Ancient Asgardian ancestry could actually explain the entire existence of the MCU, because the genetics of the heroes (and villains) make them compatible with the power catalysts (for example, why gamma radiation turns Banner into the
