It’s true that, as the presentation notes, the women’s team negotiated a guaranteed annual salary instead of the higher per-game bonuses that the men have in their CBA. And it’s true that FIFA needs to step up their prize money for women’s competitions.

No, he’s currently the 4th. Where are you pulling this data from?

Kimbrel’s also had a couple rough outings, but far from bad if you’re comparing stats with other closers around the league.

Just curious, where are you pulling the WARs from? I see Harper at 1.9 on BBR and 2.5 on FanGraphs (Machado and 3 and 2.8 respectively).

But.... COLLUSION. /s

Suck a turkey dick. This entire article was shoddy, so I was equally as shoddy in my reply. Deadspin doesn’t give a shit about their writers, why should the commentariat care?

This entire article is a rough read. We’re complaining because they raised $90 mil of VC on $32 mil of projected net new annual profit? It’s too long to type out, but why would this have to be a 1:1 ratio to not be “fishy”?

Except when you look at the number of tv viewers for the women’s finals, people do watch. The numbers support it.

You could say the difference between this case and Incognito’s was black and white.

Particularly shitty is the inclusion of club pay—USWNT players are essentially stuck in NWSL, because there is not a robust global marketplace of leagues offering better opportunities, overwhelmingly due to gender discrimination.

The Root certainly does.

FFS, this is peak Jez. You made a snarky assertion that P&G has a gender wage gap (don’t try and say otherwise), I’m giving you more than enough ample evidence to show that they don’t, and it’s of course not going to be enough. The UK is self-reported data as well, they recently passed legislation that it must be

I get wanting the upvotes on Jez, but you came for the wrong one with P&G

Other than reminding you that “median pay gap” doesn’t account for equivalent positions/experience, and median is intentionally more misleading than “average, you are referencing Proctor & Gamble UK. Their business unit represents less than 5% of P&G’s overall employee base.

God bless me with the overconfidence of a mediocre white head coach.

Plot twist: Women actually average more than men at P&G for those in equivalent positions with equivalent years of experience.

They don’t do the same job. I mean, if you really are interested, read this WP article.

It’s on another site that he didn’t want to be accused of racism.

That’s what’s truly terrible in this case? Get the entire fuck outta here.
