Uh, I did, and that’s not what I said. The word “perceived” is deliberately there for a reason. There’s no justification for this horrendous act, but it’s worth pointing out the motive was very likely stolen valor. If you read the linked article, I’m sure you’ll come to the same conclusion.

The word “random” is used throughout the article, even quoting Serena, but where is this coming from? The USADA’s site pretty clearly articulates how athletes are selected for out of competition testing, and by no means is that random.
